Spanish press reports indicated that Vinicius Junior will not return to the football fields before the start of 2024 due to injury.

The Real Madrid star was injured during the match between the Brazilian national team and the Colombian national team, as he left the field after only 27 minutes of the match that was held in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The next day, Vinicius returned to the Spanish capital, Madrid, to undergo tests and determine the nature of the injury and the duration of his absence.

According to Real Madrid, Vinicius is suffering from a tear in the thigh muscle, in addition to another injury to the distal tendon of the left foot.

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old's absence would be between two or two and a half months, depending on how quickly he recovers.

This means that 2023 is over for Vinicius, and his participation in the Spanish Super Cup next January is in doubt.

Real Madrid also lost the services of Eduardo Camavinga for the rest of this year due to his injury during France national team training.

Real Madrid's injured list includes many important names alongside Vinicius and Camavinga, such as goalkeepers Courtois and Kepa, centre-back Eder Militao, as well as Aurelien Tchouamini and the young man who has not yet played a match with the Royal Club, Arda Guler.

It is noteworthy that Jude Bellingham is also injured, but this is the least serious injury for Real Madrid, as he is expected to return again immediately after the international break.
