France achieved a historic 14-0 victory over Gibraltar at Allianz Riviera Stadium, for the ninth round of Euro 2024 qualifiers.

Before the match, coach Didier Deschamps' squad had guaranteed qualification to the Euro, but it left its mark in a historic way at the end of the qualifiers.

The match witnessed the participation of Warren Zairi Emery, who became the youngest player to score for the French national team in a century, at the age of 17 years and 255 days, and he also became the third youngest player to participate in a Roosters national team shirt in history.

Despite the historic night for Emery, he was unlucky, as he suffered an injury and was forced out in the 20th minute of the match.

The Gibraltar national team played the match with ten players from the 18th minute, and at that time France was ahead with 3-0 by Santos (own goal), Marcus Thuram and Emery.

The rest of France's goals came from Kylian Mbappé (3 goals), Kingsley Coman (2 goals), Olivier Giroud (2 goals), and one each from Jonathan Kloos, Adrien Rabiot, and Youssef Fofana.

Mbappe's hat-trick brought his total goals in his career, whether with clubs or with the French national team, to 300 goals, while he has not yet completed his twenty-fifth year, an achievement that no player has previously achieved, including Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

It remains to be noted that the 14-0 victory over Gibraltar is the biggest ever in the history of the French national team.
