Real Madrid achieved an exciting victory over its host Union Berlin, 3-2, at the Olympic Stadium in the German capital at the end of the group stage of the Champions League.

Onion took the lead through Kevin Volland's goal, before Joselu equalized and scored the lead goal for the Royal Club, but the German club tied again through Alex Kral, but Dani Ceballos gave the three points to Carlo Ancelotti's squad with a fatal goal in the 89th minute.

With this victory, Real Madrid has finished the group stage with a full score by winning 6 matches and achieving 18 points, which is a historic achievement by all standards.

This is the third time that Real Madrid has achieved the perfect score, thus equaling the record set by Bayern Munich.

But this number may be a bad omen for Real Madrid, as the previous two times it finished the group stage with 18 points, it failed to achieve the title.

The first time was under the command of Jose Mourinho in the 2011-2012 season, when he exited the competition in the semi-finals against Bayern Munich on penalties at the Santiago Bernabeu, in a match that caused the tears of the Portuguese coach and legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

The second time was with the current coach of the Royal Club, Carlo Ancelotti, in the 2014-2015 season, and then Real Madrid also exited the competition in the semi-finals, but at the hands of Juventus, in the heart of the Santiago Bernabeu.

It should be noted that Real Madrid exited the Champions League last season in the semi-finals at the hands of Manchester City.
