While most of the major clubs in Europe, as well as the leagues, came out to denounce the European Super League project, one club announced its willingness to negotiate with Real Madrid and Barcelona and participate in the competition.

The European Court of Justice had condemned UEFA's threat to clubs participating in the Super League, and recognized the right of those clubs to establish the tournament.

Immediately, many clubs published statements confirming their rejection of the competition, led by Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Roma, as well as the English Premier League.

But the only club to do otherwise was Napoli, through its owner Aurelio De Laurentiis.

De Laurentiis said in press statements after the decision, “I welcome the decision of the International Court of Justice regarding the European Super League, and I am ready for dialogue with the big clubs in order to establish this project.”

After the owner's controversial speech, the president of the Italian Federation came out and announced that any club that participates in the European Super League will be prohibited from playing in the league or any local competition in his country.

It is noteworthy that the clubs participating in the European Super League so far are only Real Madrid and Barcelona.
