After his brilliance against Barcelona.. Europe's giants are fighting over Gutierrez

Updated: Dec 12, 2023

Gutierrez is a player for the Spanish club Girona

The Spanish network "Relevo" reported that a large number of major clubs around the world will seek to sign Miguel Gutierrez, Girona's left back, during the upcoming winter or summer transfer period.

Gutierrez is experiencing one of his best seasons in football with Girona, crowned by his brilliance against Barcelona by scoring a goal during the small Catalan club's 4-2 victory over the provincial giant in the Spanish League.

Gutierrez began his career at Real Madrid in the youth teams, and played 10 matches for the first team before leaving for Girona in the summer of 2022 for 4 million euros.

Real Madrid reserves 50% of the rights to sell the player in the future, and the Royal Club can return the 22-year-old at any time to the Santiago Bernabeu for only 8 million euros.

At the same time, Bayern Munich is one of the most interested in signing Gutierrez, especially since Alphonso Davies may leave the team next summer, and thus the Spanish full-back will become his successor on the left front at Allianz Arena.

In addition to Bayern Munich's interest, there is another interest from Manchester City and Arsenal in obtaining the services of the young player.

Anyone interested in Gutierrez can obtain his signature if he pays the release clause in his contract with Girona, amounting to 35 million euros.

For its part, Real Madrid does not rule out moving to exploit the buyback clause in Gutierrez's contract and include him, but the matter has not yet been discussed within the walls of the Santiago Bernabeu, awaiting what will happen at the end of the current season.

All data indicate that Gutierrez is spending his final season with Girona, and that it is a matter of time and he will join one of Europe’s top players, whether Bayern, City, or Arsenal, or he will return again to the Spanish capital, Madrid.
