Al-Khelaifi: I am not interested in Real Madrid's statement about Mbappe

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of Paris Saint-Germain, confirmed his lack of interest in the statement issued by Real Madrid regarding Kylian Mbappe, noting that he is only focused on his team in the current period.

Real Madrid denied in an official statement that they had entered into negotiations with Mbappe in recent months.

Asked about Real Madrid's statement about Mbappe, Al-Khelaifi told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "No, I haven't read it."

"We're just focused on ourselves, and for me Mbappe is the best in the world, he doesn't stop scoring goals."

In addition to his position as president of Paris Saint-Germain, Al-Khelaifi serves as president of the European Club Association (ECA), and he has stressed that the massive revolution in Saudi football does not worry him much and will not affect European competitions.

"The Saudi league does not pose a threat to us, we are focused on ourselves and what we have of different standards," the Qatari continued.

"UEFA has the best tournaments and the best players, as well as the richest history and the largest audience in the world, all of these are ingredients for success."

It is noteworthy that the Saudi league clubs included many European football stars last summer, such as Neymar, Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante, Milenkovic-Savic, and before that last January, Cristiano Ronaldo, and it is assumed that the matter will continue in the next winter and summer as well.
