Ancelotti shocks Real Madrid fans: We will not sign a centre-back in January

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti announced in the press conference for the Mallorca match that the royal club will not enter the current winter transfer market in search of signing a new defender.

David Alaba suffered a cruciate ligament tear, and the intention, according to Spanish newspapers, was for Real Madrid to include a replacement for him, with only Nacho and Antonio Rudiger in this position.

Indeed, many names were put forward, including former Real Madrid duo Pepe and Raphael Varane, but Ancelotti shocked everyone by agreeing to continue with the same current list.

"We are not thinking about signing a centre-back this winter," Ancelotti said.

He also added, "We have Nacho, Rudiger, Tchouameni and Carvajal who can also play in central defence. We will not include new players."

This news coincides with another report presented by the newspaper "Marca", stating that Florentino Perez's management prefers to wait until next summer and then include a world-class defender without pressure this winter.
