Laporta and Xavi celebrate achieving qualification to the round of 16 in the Champions League

Barcelona secured economic profits worth 70.55 million euros from its qualification to the round of 16 of the Champions League competition.

Barcelona defeated Porto by two goals to one in the fifth round of the group stage, and by ensuring qualification to the final 16, the Blaugrana will reap a reward of 9.6 million euros.

Barcelona also received 2.8 million euros for the victory over Porto, bringing the total money from the victory over the Portuguese club to 12.4 million euros.

This amount is in addition to 8.4 million euros from the previous three victories (winning the match has a reward of 2.8 million euros), as well as 15.64 million euros for participation in the group stage.

In addition to all these numbers, Barcelona earned 34.1 million euros due to its historically advanced ranking in the Champions League, and on this basis, Barcelona’s total profits so far from “Ears” amounted to 70.55 million euros.

Barcelona officials are the most happy with these numbers, given the difficult economic situation that the club has suffered in the past years, and with them the scope for including players in the upcoming transfer periods could increase in line with the laws of financial fair play.
