Barcelona players provided great support to Gavi during the match against Rayo Vallecano held on Saturday evening at the Teresa Rivero Stadium in the Spanish League.
Gavi suffered a cruciate ligament tear while participating with the Spain national team in the Georgia match, as a result of which he will be absent from the field for 9 months.
Spanish football was saddened by the loss of a promising star and his injury of this magnitude, to the point that Real Madrid sent a letter of support and assistance signed by President Florentino Pérez to Barcelona.
It was the turn of the Barcelona players to support Gavi and raise his morale, after they carried the Blaugrana shirt against Rayo with great words of support for the 18-year-old.
The shirt read: “We are with you, Gavi.”
In the same context, Gavi expressed his support for Barcelona from his home, after he posted a story on his Instagram account while he was watching the match on television and wishing the Catalan club success.
It is noteworthy that Barcelona occupies third place in the La Liga standings with 30 points, 4 points behind leaders Girona, and two points behind runner-up Real Madrid.
