Messi played more than 15 years with Barcelona during which he achieved many achievements, and Ferran Torres believes that “The Flea” is truly the best in history, but Ronaldo deserves special praise as he continued to fight the Argentine until the last moment.
"Lionel Messi is the best in history. I have never seen anyone do what he did even Maradona, Pele or Ronaldinho" Torres said in statements reported by the newspaper Defensal Central.
He also added, "For Messi to stay at the top for 15 to 20 years and score 50 goals every season and make the same amount of assists, is something crazy by all standards."
As for Ronaldo, he said, "Ronaldo is a role model for me. He is a true role model for me because he competed with the best player in history. It is not easy to compete with Messi and win the Ballon d'Or. This is a major advantage."
He concluded, "I play in Barcelona and perhaps it is not correct to say that, but I judge Ronaldo in general, and what he has done throughout his career is something wonderful and exceptional."
Torres joined Barcelona in the winter of 2022 from Manchester City for 50 million euros, and has so far succeeded in scoring 19 goals and assisting 11 others during 88 matches in the Catalan jersey in all tournaments.
