Bayern Munich signs its first winter deals... “Barcelona’s executioner”!

Granada star Brian Zaragoza

Bayern Munich acquired the services of Granada star Brian Zaragoza, after the German club reached an agreement with its Spanish counterpart to include the player for 15 million euros during the upcoming winter Mercato.

According to Sky, Zaragoza had already undergone medical examinations in recent days, and had also signed contracts to join Bayern Munich after a competition with Leipzig, but the Bavarian club succeeded in settling the matter in its favor in the end.

At the same time, Zaragoza will not join Bayern Munich until next summer, as the management is intending to leave him on loan at Granada until the end of the current season, and then benefit from his services starting next season.

The 22-year-old will be linked to a contract extending until the summer of 2029 at the Allianz Arena, in light of the strong conviction of Bayern’s sporting director, Christoph Freund, that the player is one of the best European talents in the wing position ever.

Zaragoza caught the spotlight this season, as he scored 5 goals and made two assists in 14 appearances with Granada in the Spanish League this season.

The player's brilliance during the Granada-Barcelona match was an additional reason for increasing the world's interest in the young talent, when he succeeded in scoring a wonderful goal in the match that ended in a 2-2 draw.

As a result of the distinguished levels shown by Zaragoza this season, he was called up for the first time in his career to the Spanish national team during the international break last October, and he played his first match in a La Roja shirt against Scotland in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
