Bellingham needs surgery, and Real Madrid prefers “postponing”

Bellingham needs surgery, and Real Madrid prefers postponement

Marca reported that Jude Bellingham now needs surgical intervention to solve his shoulder problem, pointing out that Real Madrid prefers to postpone this step until the end of the season or a break.

The English international suffered a dislocated shoulder during the match between Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano, as a result of which he was sidelined for two weeks, but he returned again after the international break and scored a goal in Napoli's last match in the Champions League.

However, Bellingham is still plagued by pain from time to time, according to Marca, and there is a need for him to undergo surgery to end this crisis, but the lack of time and the large number of matches prevent this from being done at the present moment.

The newspaper continued, "Sooner or later Bellingham will undergo surgery, but he can wait a day, a month, a season, or perhaps more."

The idea that the 20-year-old will undergo surgery after the end of the current season is unlikely due to his association with participating with the England national team in Euro 2024, so the date of his taking this step remains a “mystery” that cannot be determined.

Real Madrid is suffering from many injuries this season, represented by Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouaméni and Vinicius Junior, which explains the club’s unwillingness to have Bellingham undergo surgery except when it is urgently needed, rather than losing him too for a long period.

It is noteworthy that Bellingham is Real Madrid's most prominent star this season, having scored 15 goals in 16 matches in all tournaments.
