Despite widespread reports that Eduardo Camavinga's condition is not serious after being injured in the France national team camp, things seem to be the opposite, as confirmed by the newspaper "Marca".
Ousmane Dembélé's violent intervention on Camavinga caused him to suffer a knee injury and prevent him from completing the French national team's training. Initial news indicated that the Real Madrid player was fine and would participate normally in his country's training on Thursday.
But the newspaper "Marca" revealed that Camavinga was feeling pain, and had undergone additional examinations in the last hours, after which the French national team's medical staff decided to cut short his participation in the Didier Deschamps battalion camp and return him again to the Spanish capital, Madrid.
Camavinga, 21, will undergo an MRI upon his arrival in Madrid in order to determine his injury and the expected duration of his absence from the field.
Real Madrid hopes that the player's injury will be minor and will not keep him away from the field much, especially since he plays a vital role in coach Carlo Ancelotti's squad.
It is noteworthy that Real Madrid's current injured list includes Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao, Kepa, Jude Bellingham and Arda Guler.
