Deco, Barcelona's sporting director, confirmed that all of the Catalan club's players will remain at Camp Nou and that none of them will leave during the winter Mercato.
Spanish newspapers have circulated many names from Barcelona who may leave in the winter in order to provide financial liquidity to carry out deals.
But Deco, in statements before the match between Barcelona and Las Palmas, denied this, and said, “No player will leave Barcelona in January.”
When asked about the possibility of including new players after signing Vitor Roque, he replied, “We like a lot of players.”
He also added, "But new deals do not depend on us. We have to adhere to the rules of fair financial play."
He concluded, "If we succeed in that, then we can see if we will sign new players."
Barcelona's name has been linked to many players, most notably Girona's centre-back, Alex Garcia, despite his club's opinion that there are no negotiations yet with the Catalan club.
