Doping infuriates Lewandowski after Barcelona vs Sociedad match

Robert Lewandowski was caught on camera in a state of anger after the end of the match between Barcelona and Real Sociedad on Saturday, despite his team winning in the final moments thanks to Ronald Araujo's goal.

The Poland international was involved for 57 minutes, before Xavi Hernandez decided to substitute him and bring in injury-returning Pedri in his place.

According to the widespread shot, Lewandowski did not look at Xavi after the meeting and did not shake his hand as if he was angry with him, and some interpreted it as because of his failure to complete the match and the player's desire to stay on the pitch.

However, Sport revealed another reason: an official informed Lewa that he would undergo a doping test after the match.

Doping takes a long time after each game on the one hand, and on the other hand, the player should have been informed in a different way than after the match.

This was the main reason for the anger on the Polish's face, and it had nothing to do the coach decision.

Xavi Hernandez said after the match that replacing Lewandowski was "logical" because he is returning from injury and cannot complete the game to the end for fear of a setback that will keep him out of action again.

The 35-year-old has scored 6 goals in 12 games between La Liga and the Champions League this season, and has also provided his teammates with 4 assists.
