Fate reconciles with Barcelona after the Gavi disaster

Barcelona has regained the services of its Dutch star, Frenkie de Jong, after a two-month absence. At the same time, it does not appear that the Catalan club will lose its goalkeeper, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, when returning to matches.

Barcelona received very sad news on Sunday when Gavi was injured with the Spanish national team and it was confirmed that he would be absent from the field for 8 months after suffering a rupture in his cruciate ligament.

But it seems that fate decided to reconcile with Barcelona after the loss of the 18-year-old, as De Jong participated in part of the Blaugrana’s training and is supposed to take advantage of the coming days to fully recover from his injury.

At the same time, Ter Stegen does not suffer from a serious injury, and he will be ready to be with Barca in the next Rayo Vallecano match and participate mainly without problems.

Stegen left the German national team camp after suffering back pain, and Nagelsmann preferred not to risk it and immediately return him to Barcelona.

If Stegen is to participate mainly against Rayo, it is expected that De Jong will play part of the match as a substitute until he regains the rhythm of the matches, and without any physical pressures that cause any new setback for him.

Barcelona occupies third place in the Spanish League standings, 4 points behind leaders Girona, and 2 points behind runner-up Real Madrid.
