The latest medical examinations showed that Gavi suffered a tear in the cruciate ligament in his right knee, which ended his chances of participating in football matches this season.

The Barcelona player left the Spain-Georgia match after 21 minutes after twisting his knee forcefully while trying to receive a ball, and from the first moments it was clear that the injury was difficult and serious.

After examinations in the Spain camp, followed by other examinations in Barcelona, it was confirmed that the 18-year-old had suffered a cruciate ligament tear.

On this basis, Gavi is supposed to be absent for a period ranging from 6 to 8 months, depending on how quickly he recovers, so that his season with Barcelona is over.

Gavi played a major role in Barcelona since his promotion to the first team two seasons ago, and this season he played 15 matches with the Blaugrana in all tournaments, during which he scored two goals and assist another.

Gavi is considered one of the youngest players to play for the Spanish national team in history. His first match during the era of coach Luis Enrique was when he was 17 years and two months old. In total, he played 27 international matches, during which he scored 5 goals.
