Rafaela Pimienta, Erling Haaland's agent, responded to the news about the Manchester City star's departure to Real Madrid next summer.
Spanish newspapers have indicated that the Royal Club intends to sign Haaland and Kylian Mbappe all at once next summer for a “new Galacticos” full of energetic young stars.
For the first time, Pimienta only spoke briefly about this matter when asked, saying, “The connection to Real Madrid? You should ask Real Madrid about that, not me.”
As for her client’s goals in his career, “Haaland deserved to win the Ballon d’Or, and I hope he will achieve it one day.”
But Rafaela again drew attention to Haaland's strength of mind when she said, "I am confident that he would rather win the Champions League with his team than win the Ballon d'Or."
In his first season with Manchester City, Haaland succeeded in leading Pep Guardiola's squad to achieve the historic treble, and he was also the top scorer for his first team with 52 goals in all tournaments.
But everything the Norwegian did was not enough to win the Ballon d'Or title, as the balance tipped to Lionel Messi after he received the majority of votes, while Haaland came in second place and Mbappe in third place.
This season, it seems that the 22-year-old has no intention of stopping, as he has scored 17 goals in 18 matches so far in all tournaments.
