His father reveals: How did “inflation” cause Endrick to sign for Real Madrid?

Andrik is the next Real Madrid player in 2024

Douglas, Endrik's father, revealed that his son was close to joining Chelsea and not Real Madrid, before he was surprised by the English club's withdrawal from the deal due to "fear of inflation."

Real Madrid then succeeded in obtaining the services of Endrick from the Brazilian Palmeiras in a deal estimated at 40 million euros, in addition to other additions that would bring it to 60 million euros.

Endrik's father, Douglas, spoke about the scenes of his move to Chelsea, saying, "We received an invitation from the Chelsea owner. We went to see the club and the country. We watched the Chelsea and Arsenal match, met the coach and a number of players, and saw the club facilities as well."

“They explained everything to us, there was a lady with us and we saw the house where we would live, the school Indrik would go to and even the church, everything was provided for us by Chelsea.”

He continued, "Everything changed at the last minute. The agreement had been reached between the two parties. I had already started thinking about life in London with this cold weather there, but suddenly my son's agent spoke and told me that the Chelsea owner had withdrawn from the deal."

He concluded, "He said that the reason for the withdrawal was that the price of the deal would cause inflation in the transfer market. The value of the deal was 60 million euros for a 16-year-old player who would come to his new club after approximately two years. So they decided to withdraw, and then Real Madrid came."

It is noteworthy that Endrik will arrive at Real Madrid in the summer of 2024 when he turns 18 years old, and everyone is awaiting what the player, who has become the fourth youngest player to represent the Brazilian national team in history, will offer.
