Real Madrid will lose the services of Ferland Mendy in the match against Alaves on Thursday after he suffered a muscle injury.
According to the newspaper "Marca", the French international was injured during his participation in the last Villarreal match, and underwent an MRI to reveal the nature of the injury and the duration of his absence.
The doctors decided that Mendy needed to stay away from the football field for 10 days, after which he could return to participate in training.
This is the third muscle injury that Mendy has suffered this season, as he has already missed 9 matches due to this type of injury in 86 days.
At the same time, Real Madrid decided to exclude Dani Carvajal from the Alaves match in order to give him a greater chance to recover rather than risk him for fear of setbacks that would keep him out of action for a long time.
Mendy is added to Real Madrid's major injury list, which includes Militao, Courtois, Guler, Camavinga, Vinicius, and the latest is David Alaba.
