La Liga shows compassion to Real Madrid's situation and gives Nacho a reduced penalty!

The Spanish League's Competition Committee decided to suspend Nacho Fernandez, Real Madrid's captain, for only one match due to his sending off against Alaves.

Nacho had received a direct red card by video technology, and on this basis his punishment was supposed to range from one to three matches.

Previously, Nacho was suspended for 3 matches when he was sent off in the Real Madrid-Girona match, which made it likely that this punishment would be repeated again, especially since the Alaves player needed medical intervention after the Madrid captain’s violent intervention.

But in the end, it seems that La Liga decided to be merciful to Real Madrid's defensive state, and contented itself with granting the player a one-match suspension.

Thus, Nacho will only miss the match between Real Madrid and Real Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabeu, which is good news for Carlo Ancelotti in light of the many absences in the center back position.

In the match against Mallorca, Ancelotti is expected to rely on Aurelien Tchouameni in the center of defense, with Antonio Rudiger next to him, then the Frenchman will return to midfield from the next match with the return of Nacho.

It is noteworthy that Real Madrid is suffering from injuries to David Alaba and Eder Militao's cruciate ligament, so Nacho and Rudiger are the only options available in the center of defense until the end of the season.
