Laporta calls on Saudi clubs to solve Barcelona's economic crisis: We need cooperation

Joan Laporta, President of the Spanish Club Barcelona

Joan Laporta, Barcelona president, urged Saudi clubs to cooperate with his club in order to develop the Rochen League, considering that there is an opportunity for great mutual benefit between the two parties in various ways.

It is clearly clear from Laporta's statements that he wants Barcelona to benefit from the huge funds available in the Saudi League, by selling some players to Saudi clubs, which would solve a large part of the Catalan club's economic crisis.

In an interview with Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, Laporta said about Saudi Arabia, “Saudi Arabia is doing well in sports investment, and football is one of the best ways to promote their country. Everyone knows its team as well and its defeat of Argentina in the World Cup.”

He also added, "Perhaps in addition to the international stars who have been included in the league, we should look for a cooperation opportunity with Spanish clubs, in order to help them improve the quality of the Saudi team and the league in general."

He continued to call for cooperation specifically with Barcelona, saying, "For example, cooperation with Barcelona will benefit the Saudi League."

He concluded in this regard, saying, "Once again, I confirm that cooperation with clubs like Barcelona would be a wonderful thing, to export our experiences and our true style of playing football and develop it further in Saudi Arabia."

Barcelona is facing an economic crisis represented by its inability to fulfill the rules of financial fair play, and therefore it cannot buy new players and first needs to get rid of some players on its list, and Saudi Arabia may be the destination for achieving this goal.

The Saudi League included many distinguished names last summer, and it is assumed that the Saudi project will continue for a long time in attracting football stars from around the world, and Barcelona may benefit from this, or be harmed if the Rushen League clubs decide to include one of its major stars.
