Lewandowski regains his sense of scoring and saves Barcelona from the surprise of Alavés

Robert Lewandowski returned to scoring, leading Barcelona to a 2-1 win over Deportivo Alavés on matchday 13 of La Liga.

Despite Xavi Hernandez's assurances that Barcelona will be different in the Alavés game after the loss to Shakhtar and poor form against Real Sociedad, nothing new seems to have happened at the Catalan club.

Barcelona conceded a new surprise goal, this time through Samuel Omurodion in the 18th second, and Barca had conceded the fastest goal this season in LaLiga against Granada in the 17th second in nearly a month.

The advantage remained for the guests of the Luis Combanes Olympic Stadium until Robert Lewandowski scored the equalizer in the 53rd minute, and then scored the winning goal from the penalty spot in the 78th minute.

The Poland international has been absent from scoring for 6 games, his worst record in 12 years, but he finally returned to scoring in a match that was very important to pass the difficult phase that the "Blaugrana" is going through.

Lewandowski's total number of goals this season in a Barcelona shirt has become 8, 7 in La Liga (putting him second in LaLiga top scorer after Jude Bellingham with 10 goals), and a goal in the Champions League.

Barcelona's win saw them reach 30 points in third place, two points behind second-placed Real Madrid, and leaders Girona with 34 points ahead of them.
