Manchester United chooses a surprising name to succeed Ten Hag!

Eric ten Hag, coach of Manchester United

The Spanish Cadena Coupe network reported that Manchester United may dismiss Erik ten Hag at the end of this season if the Dutch coach fails to achieve the club's goals, and the English administration has already settled on the name of his successor.

United had a bad start to the season after suffering a series of domestic defeats and bidding farewell to the Carabao Cup, in addition to being at the bottom of their group in the Champions League so far.

The performance of the Red Devils in the Premier League may have improved in recent weeks, which led to the difference between United and leaders Arsenal narrowing to only 6 points, with the Ten Hag squad occupying sixth place.

According to the network's report, United's management is looking for a replacement for Ten Hag for fear that the situation will worsen again, and settled on the name of Carlo Ancelotti, the current Real Madrid coach, to take over the technical management at Old Trafford.

The English club's management believes that Ancelotti has the necessary experience to undertake the task of building the team again, especially after the great successes he demonstrated in his second term at Real Madrid.

Ancelotti's contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of this season, and so far Florentino Perez's management has not made an offer for him to extend.

The Italian coach is receiving great attention from the Brazilian national team, whose officials confirmed that they are waiting until June 2024 and the end of Ancelotti's contract with Real Madrid in order to complete the contract with him.

It is noteworthy that Ancelotti has two previous experiences in the English Premier League, the first with Chelsea, where he won the Premier League title in 2010, and the other with Everton before moving to Real Madrid in the summer of 2021.
