Mbappe after loss to Milan: Winning the next match is more important than winning the CL

Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe has expressed his disappointment with his side's defeat to Milan and stressed that a win over Newcastle in the next match is an urgent need to make up for this loss.

Despite PSG scored first at the San Siro Stadium thanks to Skrinar's goal, Milan succeeded in returning with a double from Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud, to ignite the competition in the group of death, after Milan reached the fifth point with Paris' balance frozen at 6 points, while the lead went to Borussia Dortmund with 7 points.

Mbappe spoke to L'Equipe after the game: "At the moment winning our next game is more important than winning the Champions League, that's what we're focusing on now."

"We are very disappointed, we missed a lot of things against Milan, we tried to adapt the conditions to our advantage but it didn't happen, losing is always difficult for us."

"Now we will go home with this defeat, all we have to do now is try to win against Newcastle, we have to respond to this defeat by beating Newcastle."

Newcastle will enter the match against Paris Saint-Germain in fourth place in the group with 4 points, after losing to Dortmund in Germany 2-0.

The match is scheduled to take place after returning from the week-long international break, which begins on Monday.
