Kylian Mbappe, the Paris Saint-Germain player, revealed that his partnership with Lionel Messi over two years at the French club made him learn an important lesson that will benefit him greatly in his career.

Messi moved to PSG in the summer of 2021 after the end of his contract with Barcelona, and played at the Princes' Park Stadium for two years, but he did not succeed in leaving the desired impact.

However, Mbappé seems to have benefited the most, learning from Messi to help the defense and changing his style of play to suit the team.

The 24-year-old said in a press interview, “Messi changed the way he played with us over the course of two years. He was not the same as he was in Barcelona, and this is what allowed him to continue performing well and achieving achievements.”

He also added, "If the player does not change and develop, he will lose his ability to play the ball in a way that suits its constantly changing rhythm."

He added, "The greatest football stars must develop and change the way they play. This is the way to continue progressing and helping the team."

He concluded, "I want to help my team defensively and offensively, and I am happy for the coach and my teammates to ask more from me."

Mbappe's statements come a few days after Luis Enrique criticized him and demanded that he play more roles than score goals.

In total, the French player scored 15 goals this season in 15 matches in all tournaments with Paris, but this did not please Enrique, who demanded more defensive roles from him.
