Modric opens the door to his move to the Saudi league and turns into a "Jeddah conflict"

Croatian Luka Modric, Real Madrid star

Borja Kos, Luka Modric's agent, has opened the door for the Real Madrid star's move to the Saudi league in the upcoming winter transfer window, provided there is the right offer at all levels.

The Croatia international has not featured regularly for Real Madrid this season, leading the press to predict that he could leave in January or end his contract next summer at the latest.

It seems that Kos decided to increase this speculation, after he answered a question about Modric's move to the Rochen league by saying, "We already had interest from the Saudi league clubs to sign Luca, offers were available from the capital teams and another team."

"The player is now focused on Real Madrid, but the idea of moving to the Saudi league is possible provided the offer is appropriate."

The news comes hours after Saudi newspapers published that the 38-year-old has become the subject of a conflict between Al-Ahli and Al-Ittihad, and that both clubs are already trying to convince him to join them in the upcoming winter mercato.

Last summer, Al Ahly were the closest destination for Modric, who eventually opted to stay at Real Madrid, although Al Nassr also tried to reunite him with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Modric has only played 647 minutes this season spread over 15 games for Real Madrid in all competitions, and because of him Carlo Ancelotti said he was "unfair" to deserve the Croatian legend to start, but fierce competition in the list and the high quality of other players prevented that.

But with injuries in Real Madrid's midfield, represented by Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga, Modric will be more involved on the one hand, and on the other hand, the club may hold on to his stay until next summer at the very least.
