Nacho puts Real Madrid in trouble and turns into "the new Ramos"

Nacho Fernandez, Real Madrid's captain, received a red card during the Royal Club's 1-0 victory over Deportivo Alaves at the conclusion of the first round matches of the Spanish League.

The referee initially gave Nacho a yellow card after a violent intervention on an Alaves player, but after returning to video technology, the referee gave a red card to the Merengue captain in the 53rd minute.

This is the second red card that Nacho has received this season with Real Madrid, after the first card against Girona.

Thus, Nacho becomes the first Real Madrid player to receive two expulsions in the same season since former captain Sergio Ramos did it in the 2017-2018 season.

At the same time, Nacho leaves Real Madrid in real trouble after this expulsion, due to the scarcity of options in the center of defence, with him missing the next 3 matches due to suspension.

Nacho is scheduled to miss Real Mallorca and Almeria's matches at the Santiago Bernabeu, and Las Palmas away from home.

There is currently only one centre-back, Antonio Rudiger, after David Alaba and Eder Militao suffered cruciate ligament injuries.

It is expected that coach Carlo Ancelotti will rely on Aurélien Tchouaméni in the center of defense alongside Rudiger temporarily, with the Royal Club concluding a winter deal to support this position in the next Mercato.
