Officially: Spanish Super League matches in Saudi Arabia are scheduled

The Spanish Football Federation revealed on Wednesday evening the dates of the 2023 Spanish Super Cup, which is scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia in January 2024.

Since 2020, the Spanish Super League has been played with the participation of 4 teams, and Saudi Arabia has won 3 editions, with a single edition held in Andalusia in 2021 due to the Corona virus crisis at the time.

Barcelona as La Liga champions, Real Madrid as Copa del Rey champions, third-placed Atletico Madrid in LaLiga and Cup runners-up Osasuna will participate in the 2023 Super Cup.

The first semi-final of the Super Cup between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will be held in the derby of the Spanish capital on January 10, and the second semi-final will be between Barcelona and Osasuna on January 11.

The winners of the two matches will meet in the final on January 14, with the start of 9 pm Makkah time.

It is worth noting that Barcelona is the defending champion of the last edition of the Spanish Super Cup after beating Real Madrid 3-1 at the King Fahd International Stadium in the Saudi capital Riyadh last January.
