Real Madrid officially responds to news of their negotiations with Mbappe

Real Madrid have issued an official statement confirming that the hesitant news about their negotiations with Kylian Mbappe to sign him next summer on a free transfer is not true.

In recent days, rumors have abounded about Madrid's fabulous offer to Mbappe, where he is paid 35 million euros a year, and another has spoken that the Spanish club will give the French star the historic number 10 shirt.

This is what prompted the administration of Florentino Pérez to issue an official statement denying these matters outright.

Real Madrid's statement about Mbappe was as follows:

"Real Madrid confirms that the information circulating about negotiations between us and Kylian Mbappe is incorrect, there have been no negotiations between the player who is still under contract with Paris Saint-Germain."

Legally, neither Real Madrid nor any club can negotiate or obtain Mbappe's signature before he enters the free period, which six months before the end of his contract, i.e. in January 2024.

Perhaps Real wanted to maintain its legal image on the one hand, and on the other hand to assure Paris Saint-Germain not to move for their star against their will so as not to worsen relations between the two clubs.

French newspapers have previously suggested that Liverpool also have interest in acquiring Mbappe's signature next summer, while Paris Saint-Germain are doing everything they have to convince the player to renew his contract for another three years at the Parc des Princes.
