Real Madrid renew Vinicius' contract and set a fictional clause

Real Madrid have announced the renewal of the contract of their star player Vinicius Jr. for an additional four years, to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2027.

The Brazilian joined the club in 2018 when he was just 18 years old, for 45 million euros, from Brazilian side Flamengo.

Vinicius has become a mainstay at Real Madrid over the last three years, with the renewal of his contract and his long-term stay in the Spanish capital.

According to Spanish newspaper reports, Vinicius' new contract includes a penalty clause worth one billion euros, to ensure that the player lasts for as long as possible.

Florentino Pérez's management usually puts this great value in the penalty clause so as not to leave any way or any other club with any chance to kidnap its big stars.

Vinicius' salary will also rise sharply, according to the newspaper "Marca", after earning about 4 million euros per year, his new salary will be 10 million euros per year.

It is noteworthy that Vinicius played 235 games for Real Madrid in all competitions over the course of 5 years, during which he succeeded in scoring 62 goals and assisting 67 others, while winning the Spanish league title, the Champions League, the Club World Cup, the Copa del Rey and others.
