The newspaper "Marca" confirmed that the Real Madrid administration has taken a final decision not to include any new player in the winter transfer period in place of the injured David Alaba.
Alaba's absence was confirmed until the end of the current season after he suffered a cruciate ligament tear during the match between Real Madrid and Villarreal on Sunday.
Initial reports indicated that Real Madrid was about to include another centre-back, with only Antonio Rudiger and Nacho in this position, and Militao and Alaba injured.
But "Marca" came back and confirmed that the Real Madrid management backed away from the idea and decided to continue with the same current roster, with Aurélien Tchouaméni being relied upon as the center of defense temporarily until the end of the season.
There was an idea to bring back the young player on loan, Rafa Marin, from Alaves, but Marca confirmed that the administration would not do that and did not want to violate its agreement with the other Spanish club.
This news was not accepted by Real Madrid fans, considering that relying on only 3 players in a position of this sensitivity and with the enormous pressure of matches, was a big risk.
It is noteworthy that Real Madrid competes in the Spanish League and the King’s Cup, and begins its journey in the round of 16 of the Champions League against Leipzig, in addition to competing in the Spanish Super Cup next January in Saudi Arabia.
