Revealing the truth about Barcelona's huge quarrel between Deco and Frenkie de Jong

Ali Dursun, Frenkie de Jong's agent, denied what was circulated about a major quarrel between his client and Barcelona sports director Deco.

The Spanish newspapers had reported on a loud phone call between Deco and De Jong, during which the Portuguese reprimanded the Dutch player and shouted at him because of his absence from the Blaugrana squad in the Antwerp match in the Champions League.

De Jong was not present in the Antwerp match due to his fever, which Deco considered to be just a flimsy and unreal excuse for the player to escape from the match, and from here the dispute broke out between them.

But Dorson stressed that what was circulated has nothing to do with the truth, and he continued, “There was no shouting between Deco and De Jong, and the relationship between the two parties is stable and good.”

He also added, "What was reported is the biggest nonsense that has been released about Frenkie in a long time. He was sick and suffered from a fever and therefore could not travel or play. What was said about the quarrel is completely false news."

It is noteworthy that De Jong returned to participate again in Barcelona's training after the Catalan club returned from Belgium, to be ready to appear against Valencia on Saturday at the Mestalla stadium in the 17th round of the Spanish League.

There will be a lot of pressure around De Jong, as is the case in Barcelona, after the defeat in the last two matches against Girona and Antwerp, which makes the Valencia match crucial, including for the future of coach Xavi Hernandez.
