Seventh injury: Real Madrid loses a new star until the end of 2023

Real Madrid players celebrate winning the last league match

The injury continues to haunt Real Madrid, and this time Dani Carvajal was the next victim, after his absence from the Royal Club was confirmed until the end of 2023 following his injury in the last Granada match.

The right-back left the Granada match at halftime due to an injury, and although Carlo Ancelotti said after the match that it was not a serious injury and that it was just overload, the reality was that it was much worse than expected.

According to Spanish media, Carvajal suffers from an injury to his left soleus muscle and will not be able to participate in the rest of the Royal Club’s matches in 2023.

The Spanish international needs 3 or 4 weeks to recover from his injury, so that will be his next goal, and Real Madrid’s hope is that he will succeed in joining the Saudi Super Cup scheduled for Saudi Arabia on January 12th.

Carvajal became the seventh player to join the Merengue injured list, as Real Madrid started the season with injuries to duo Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao and Arda Guler, then Aurelien Chouamini was injured in El Clásico, followed by duo Eduardo Camavinga and Vinicius Junior during the recent international break.

The 31-year-old has regained his usual level this season, so his absence is a major blow to Ancelotti’s squad, and there is no one to replace him except Lucas Vazquez, with the possibility of relying on Fede Valverde as well in this position.

It is worth noting that Carvajal played 17 matches with Real Madrid this season in all tournaments, during which he succeeded in scoring two goals and making two assists.
