Spanish sports minister decides venue for 2030 World Cup final

Spain's sports minister, Victor Francos, has clarified the venue of the 2030 World Cup final, a tournament that has been entrusted to Spain, Portugal and Morocco.

FIFA had announced that the opening matches of the 2030 World Cup would be held in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay to celebrate the centenary of the first World Cup, which was then held in South America, to be completed between the continents of Europe and Africa in Spain, Portugal and Morocco.

However, the venue for the final was not included, while Morocco, through Royal University President Faouzi Lekjaa, announced that it would like to host the match in Casablanca.

Francus, in turn, revealed where the World Cup final will be held, and said: "The final will be in Spain, I don't know if it will be held in Madrid or in Barcelona."

"I understand that Morocco would like to host the final in its territory, but what I can confirm is that the match will be played in Spain," he added.

It is noteworthy that Spanish press reports earlier suggested that the final match will be held at the historic Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, the home of Real Madrid, especially after the tremendous development it has undergone in the last two years and made it one of the best stadiums in the world.
