Surprise: Manchester United offers the “Real Madrid legend” to Barcelona!

The Manchester United administration has offered Raphael Varane to its counterpart in Barcelona to contract with him in the current winter Mercato, according to the “TeamTalk” website and reported by the “Mundo Deportivo” newspaper.

Eric Ten Hag, the coach of Manchester United, is seeking to get rid of the defender because he believes that he is a troublemaker in the locker room, at a time when the English club is suffering from many problems in terms of results and performance.

Meanwhile, Barcelona is looking for a new defender, and his name has already been linked to signing Girona defender Alex Garcia.

Given the friendly relationship between the United management and Barcelona, Varane was offered to the Catalans, with the Red Devils preparing to sell the French defender only for 20 million pounds sterling.

Varane's reaction to this idea is still ambiguous, given the fact that he is one of Real Madrid's legends in the past decade, and played at the Santiago Bernabeu for 10 years, during which he achieved all possible championships.

On a related note, Barcelona remains unable to include any new player due to the rules of financial fair play and the inability of the German Libero Fund to pay 40 million euros, the value of selling 10% of Barca Studios.

It remains to be noted that Ten Hag has gotten rid of all his outcasts so far in January, after loaning Donny van de Beek to Eintracht Frankfurt, cutting off Sergio Reguilon's loan, and coming close to loaning Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund.
