The French newspaper "L'Equipe" indicated that there is a new club interested in signing Kylian Mbappe for free in the upcoming summer transfer market.
The French international's contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of the season, and so far he has not reached an agreement with his club to extend his stay at the Parc des Princes.
Real Madrid remain the club most interested in Mbappe, and until recently were the only ones trying to sign the 24-year-old.
But the new name that has entered the line of interest for Mbappe is Liverpool, who according to L'Equipe are closely following the player's negotiations with his club and what will happen in the coming months in anticipation of trying to sign him.
Liverpool may lose the services of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah in the upcoming summer mercato amid great interest from Ittihad, so Mbappe may serve as a replacement for the "Egyptian king" at Anfield.
But it remains unknown whether Liverpool will be able to meet Mbappe's huge salary, which is expected to reach €40 million a year.
In any case, Paris Saint-Germain retain the opportunity to convince Mbappe to continue and extend his contract, while the newspapers confirm that 2024 will be the last chance for the Frenchman to wear the Real Madrid shirt, otherwise the Santiago Bernabeu's door will be closed in his face forever.
