The Barcelona star was taken to the hospital after being injured in training!

Spanish newspapers reported that Ilkay Gundogan suffered a head injury, as a result of which he was transferred to a hospital near the Joan Gamper Stadium.

The Catalan club returned to training on Saturday evening after a week-long hiatus, in preparation for the resumption of the Spanish League competitions and then participating in the King’s Cup and the Super Cup.

According to what was reported in the newspapers, Gundogan was doing some exercises in the gym, before his head hit one of the machines, and he was subsequently taken to the hospital.

The injury was not major or serious, as the German international suffered from a minor wound that needed to be stitched, and this should not lead to his absence from the stadiums.

Barcelona will meet Las Palmas next Thursday at the latter's stadium, and Gundogan will be present in the match without a problem unless he finds something new.

The 33-year-old joined Barcelona last summer from Manchester City, and since then he has played 24 matches, scoring two goals and making six more.
