The international break virus continues to haunt Real Madrid and Rodrygo is the latest victim!

Rodrygo may miss Real Madrid's match against Cadiz next Sunday after returning from his participation with the Brazilian national team in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers injured, according to confirmations from the AS newspaper.

Although Rodrygo participated for the full 90 minutes in the recent match between Brazil and Argentina, the reality is that he suffered from knee pain, as a result of which he will undergo tests in Madrid on Friday to determine the extent of his injury.

It is most likely that the 22-year-old will not be present in the match between Real Madrid and Cadiz on Sunday as a precautionary measure to preserve his safety, and Carlo Ancelotti hopes that the Brazilian player will be naturally ready for the most important match against Napoli on Wednesday in the Champions League.

Rodrygo's injury is the third injury to hit Real Madrid due to the recent international break. It started with Eduardo Camavinga, who will be absent until the end of 2023, then the biggest calamity came with the injury of Vinicius Junior and his absence for 3 months.

In addition to Camavinga and Vinicius, Real Madrid loses the services of Aurelien Tchouaméni to injury as well, while Jude Bellingham is assumed to be ready to return to participating in matches after being injured before the international break with a dislocated shoulder.

It is noteworthy that Rodrygo did not participate in Real Madrid's training on Thursday and was limited to being in the gym, and Friday is supposed to be decisive in determining the type of his injury and whether it will keep him out of action for a long period of time or whether he will be able to play in Cadiz's next match.

The Brazilian is having a distinguished season with Real Madrid, having succeeded in scoring 5 goals and assisting 4 goals in 17 matches in all tournaments so far.
