The judiciary.. Barcelona's last chance to sign new players in January!

The Barcelona administration filed a lawsuit against the German Libero Fund for not paying the dues to purchase 10% of Barsa Studios by the end of 2023, in a move that is practically the last hope for making deals in the current winter transfer period.

The German Fund had purchased this share from Barsa Studios for 40 million euros, and was supposed to pay the amount last August, but the administration allowed it to postpone payment until the end of 2023.

With the fund defaulting on payment, Joan Laporta's management resorted to the judiciary, hoping to obtain the money, or that the judiciary would grant it the right to sell the shares again and, consequently, obtain the money from another party.

In light of Barcelona's stifling economic crisis, this 40 million euros is the only way to meet the laws of fair financial play, and with it new players can be included in the winter, after the Blaugrana has already signed Vitor Roque.

Barcelona has not hidden on more than one occasion its desire to sign a midfielder to replace the injured Gavi, and it also needs to make reinforcements in the defensive line as well, which makes obtaining this money an urgent necessity.

It remains to be noted that 49% of the shares of Barsa Studios were sold last year for 200 million euros.
