The "new Varane" ignites a war between Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid

Updated: Dec 18, 2023

The war between Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid is heating up again over the Lille defender

Press reports stated that Paris Saint-Germain has joined the struggle to sign Lille defender Lenny Euro, in the upcoming summer transfer period.

Euro is classified as one of the most promising defenders in the world, and Real Madrid management is already placing him as a priority to include him next summer.

But the Foot Mercato network warned the Royal Club that Paris Saint-Germain had begun negotiations with the player, and was ready to give him a huge salary in order to convince him to continue in the French League.

Lille are not opposed to 18-year-old Euros leaving for any club next summer, but are placing a €50m fee to allow the deal to go through.

It seems that a new chapter is beginning in the successive conflicts between PSG and Real Madrid, the hero of which will be the player nicknamed “the new Varane.”

Euros resembles Varane in terms of height and physical strength, and the European giants' early interest in him made newspapers view him as a future center back for any club that would gain his services.

It remains to be noted that Spanish newspapers reported earlier that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez called former team coach Zinedine Zidane to ask him about his opinion on Euros, and the Frenchman’s comment was very positive.
