It seems that Barcelona's economic suffering will force the Catalan club to abandon one of its major stars in the upcoming winter Mercato in order to meet the rules of financial fair play and the possibility of supporting the team with new players.

According to the Relivo network, Barcelona is in dire need of 40 million euros, and there are two options for Joan Laporta’s administration to succeed in providing this amount.

The first option, which is the closest, is for Barcelona to succeed in bringing an additional investor to the club, and to work in full swing towards this end.

But in the event of failure, Barcelona will have one bitter option, which is to sell one of its stars, and indeed there are 3 players for whom Barcelona welcomes listening to offers.

The first name is Robert Lewandowski, whose level has declined very significantly recently, so the management does not mind selling him, specifically to one of the Saudi League clubs, with a guarantee of a large financial return.

But this possibility remains difficult, given Leva's wife's recent statements about how happy the family is in Barcelona, and that there is no intention at all to leave Catalonia before fulfilling the player's full contract, which expires in the summer of 2025.

The other two names also have a surprise, namely defender Jules Kounde and his colleague Andres Christensen, and in this case the financial return will be greater.

Kounde's recent decline has raised doubts about him, and perhaps the biggest surprise is Christensen as he has been the most consistent player over the last two seasons.

It is noteworthy that Barcelona has already concluded its first winter deal by including Vitor Roque for 40 million euros, and Laporta announced Barcelona’s intention to include a new midfielder only if the rules of financial fair play are met.
