Video: An exceptional gesture by Ronaldo prevents the referee from awarding him an incorrect penalty

Cristiano Ronaldo, Al-Nassr player, presented a shot that will remain immortal in the minds of football fans, but this time it is not related to his goals or contributions, but rather to his high sportsmanship.

Al-Nassr plays with Persepolis at Al-Awl Park Stadium in the fifth round of the group stage of the AFC Champions League.

In the second minute, Ronaldo fell inside the penalty area and the referee indicated a penalty kick, amid many objections from the Iranian club players.

Ronaldo did not hesitate to deny that he was intercepted, and pointed out that it was not a penalty kick, then he went to the match referee and told him to change his decision and that there was no error in the shot.

Perhaps one of the most famous similar shots was the shot of former Werder Bremen player Andrea Hunt in the German League when he also fell in the Nuremberg match and the referee awarded a penalty kick and then canceled the decision based on the player’s confirmation that he was not subjected to objection from the opponent’s defenders.

Al-Nassr needs to win over Persepolis in order to guarantee qualification to the round of 16 of the AFC Champions League, which increases the value of the shot made by "Don" and adds to his exceptional history in the world of football.

It is noteworthy that Ronaldo has so far scored 3 goals in the AFC Champions League and assisted another, in addition to 15 goals he has scored in the Saudi League this season.
