Video: Joao Felix provokes Atletico Madrid in Barcelona match!

Updated: Dec 4, 2023

Joao Felix celebrates in front of Atletico Madrid fans

Joao Felix scored the lead goal for his current team, Barcelona, against his loaned team, Atletico Madrid, in the match held between them for the fifteenth round of the Spanish League.

Usually, when a player scores a goal for his former team, he does not celebrate his goal out of respect for his former fans, but Felix broke this rule and celebrated as if Atletico Madrid was not the club that spent 120 million euros to bring him from Benfica.

Strangely, the Portuguese international's loan with Barcelona ends at the end of this season, and it is most likely that he may return to Atletico permanently in light of the Catalan club's inability to pay the value that the Rojiblancos management will demand.

However, Joao Felix did not care about the matter, and decided to celebrate at the Luis Companis Stadium, which sparked a wave of criticism against him, and some considered it a clear message to the Madrid club of his desire to leave permanently at the end of his loan with Barcelona.

It is noteworthy that Felix played 131 matches with Atletico Madrid in all tournaments, during which he scored 38 matches and made 18 assists, but he faced a crisis in adapting and disagreed a lot with coach Diego Simeone, which ultimately led to him leaving on loan to Barcelona.

So far, with the Catalan club, 24-year-old Felix has played 17 matches, during which he scored 5 goals and assisted 3 others.
