Agence France-Presse revealed the details of the agreement that brought together Kylian Mbappé and the president of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, which is supposed to protect all parties, whatever the player’s decision in the coming period.
Mbappe had sparked controversy after he announced after winning the French Super Cup against Toulouse that an “agreement between him and Al-Khelaifi” would make all parties satisfactory apart from his decision to renew to Paris Saint-Germain or leave.
According to the agency, Mbappe waived part of financial rewards amounting to $75 million, during an agreement between him and Al-Khelaifi, after the disputes that broke out between them last summer.
This number would really protect Paris Saint-Germain if Mbappe leaves, and the talk here is about meeting the rules of financial fair play imposed by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
If Mbappe renews his contract, he will also not get this huge number, and consequently it will not cost PSG’s coffers the expected huge number.
It is noteworthy that the French media confirmed earlier that Mbappe may announce his final decision during the next few weeks, specifically before the return of the Champions League in mid-February.
