What's Mbappe's number with Real Madrid next season?

El Chiringuito reports that Real Madrid have set the number Kylian Mbappe will wear with the team if he joins the Santiago Bernabeu next summer.

The French international's contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of this season, and he has the right to sign for any club in January, to join him in the summer on a free basis.

Real Madrid have given Mbappe the last chance to join him in the summer, otherwise the door of the royals is completely closed to the 22-year-old, according to Spanish newspapers.

After El Chiringuito’s programme revealed that Florentino Perez's management allocated €35 million in annual salary to Mbappe, now the player's shirt number in the Spanish capital is also revealed.

Mbappe will wear the number 10 shirt with Real Madrid, which also means the end of Luka Modric's journey with Los Blancos.

Overall, Modric has lost his starting place with Real Madrid this season, and the idea of leaving in the winter has even been floated as a possible option.

The 38-year-old's departure next summer is closer than ever, and with news that Mbappe will wear the no.10 shirt, it seems that his departure has become an absolute reality.

Mbappe was previously expected to wear the historic Real shirt with the number 7, but it seems that the successive failure of everyone who wore this number after Cristiano Ronaldo, made the club prefer to give him another legendary shirt, the number 10.

Historically, he has worn several Real Madrid number 10 stars, such as Mesut Ozil, James Rodriguez, Hungarian legend Puskas, Portuguese Luis Figo and finally Modric.
