Who is Nico Paz Real Madrid's hero against Napoli

Nico Paz caught the attention after he scored Real Madrid's winning goal over Napoli, in the match that ended 4-2 in favor of the Royal Club in the fifth round of the Champions League groups.

This was the 19-year-old Paz's second appearance with Real Madrid in the Champions League, as his first appearance was against Sporting Braga when the Merengues won 3-0, and he participated in the match as a substitute for 13 minutes.

Paz appeared in two Spanish League matches as a substitute, against Valencia (5-1 to Real Madrid) and against Cadiz last Sunday (3-0 to Real Madrid).

For those who do not know Nico Paz, he is an Argentine-Spanish player who started his career in Tenere, from there he joined the Real Madrid academy when he was sixteen years old, and began to progress through the different teams until he became a key player in the under-19 team led by Arbeloa, and then Real Madrid Castilla. Which is led by Raul Gonzalez.

The amazing levels that Paz presented were enough for a major struggle between Spain and Argentina over him representing both teams, and as part of his motivation to play with the Silver Country, coach Lionel Scaloni summoned him in 2022, and before that, the player played for Argentina’s senior national teams in more than one match.

When he appeared in the training of the Argentine national team, Paz caught the attention of many people, most notably Lionel Messi, who, according to the newspaper "Marca", was impressed by the extremely talented player and told those around him that he expected a great future for him if he continued in the same way.

Messi was not the only one of the big stars who admired Paz. When the player trained with the Real Madrid first team, Toni Kroos also explicitly said that this young man should always stay with Carlo Ancelotti's squad due to his unique and exceptional abilities.

Baz is distinguished by his ability to play in more than one position in midfield. He can be relied upon as a traditional playmaker in position 10. He can also play positions in position 8, in addition to possessing an amazing left foot, especially in terms of providing decisive passes.

In light of the multiple injuries that have struck Real Madrid recently, represented by the duo Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouaméni in midfield, it seems that Carlo Ancelotti has found in Nico Paz an ideal option to temporarily replace the duo.
