Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez admitted that he tried to sign Atletico Madrid star Alvaro Morata in recent years, but in the end it did not work.
The Catalan club searched for a striker in January 2021, and during that period the name Alvaro Morata was one of the prominent options, and the name came back and was mentioned again last summer.
Before facing Barcelona and Rojiblancos on Sunday in the Spanish League, Xavi expressed his admiration for Morata and revealed his history with the former Real Madrid star.
