Will Benzema leave Al-Ittihad in January after his multiple crises in Saudi Arabia?

In recent days, multiple reports have spread about Karim Benzema’s desire to leave Al-Ittihad in the winter Mercato, after the difficulties he has faced in Saudi Arabia specifically in recent months.

Al-Ittihad's results declined until it ranked sixth in the Saudi League standings, and the "Al-Ameed" fans poured all their anger on Benzema, especially after exiting the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup, which was held in Jeddah.

After that, reports emerged indicating great disappointment within Ittihad administration with Benzema’s levels, which increased rumors of his possible departure in January.

But according to the Foot Mercato website, Karim Benzema does not intend in any way to leave the Ittihad in the winter Mercato.

Not only that, but Benzema is determined to complete his entire career in the Ittihad, and is not thinking about leaving even next summer, and wants at least to fulfill his contract, which expires in the summer of 2025.

At the same time, the Al-Ittihad administration, despite its disappointment, shares Benzema’s desire, and does not intend to open the door or any other club to talk to the 36-year-old, regardless of the nature of the offers and no matter how much the player himself is exposed to criticism.

It is noteworthy that Benzema scored 12 goals and assisted 5 others since his arrival to Al-Ittihad last summer, and led his team to the semi-finals of the Saudi King’s Cup, as well as the round of 16 of the AFC Champions League.
