Barcelona announced the arrival of Vitor Roque to the Catalan club in preparation for him officially signing his contracts to join the Blaugrana.
Barcelona had signed the 18-year-old player from Atletico Paranaense, and he will remain there until the end of this season and join from next season.
But the many injuries among the Blaugrana ranks, as well as the decline in the team’s offensive level, made Xavi Hernandez demand that the management accelerate Roque’s arrival at Camp Nou, so that he could join this winter.
Barcelona's official account posted a video of a tiger loose in the Luis Companis Olympic Stadium, in reference to the arrival of Roque, who is nicknamed "Tigerino."
At the same time, the account posted a message from Roque, who said, "I'm here in Barcelona."
Roque is expected to play his first match with Barcelona on January 19, when Xavi's squad faces Las Palmas.
Roque's first match at the Luis Companis Olympic Stadium in front of the Catalan fans will be on January 28 against Villarreal.
It is noteworthy that Roque will participate in his first training session with Barcelona next Saturday, but he will not participate in the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.
